Now that you're more than halfway done with your novel (hopefully because they should be finished in about a week and a half), let's pause.
For this BLOG entry, I'd like to know...
(1) What questions you would like to ask the author or the main character if you could speak with them at this point in the novel. Tell us what you would ask and briefly explain why.
and
(2) Which characters, if any, do you feel sympathy for?
or
(3) How are you similar or different from the main character(s)?
(Just to clarify, answer questions 1 and 2, or question 3. The 1 is not distributive, for you math fanatics.)

The book i am reading is Brisingar.
There are many things i would ask the author and main characther. One question i would ask the author was why is the book called Brisingar if he doesn't get his weapon named brisingar until near the end of the story. I don't really feel sympathy for any of the characther because they all don't have tragic lives like the used to like in the first book Eragon. The characthers have almost very little tradegy except for fighting their enemy.

I am about halfway done with my book, A Wrinkle in Time. So far if I could ask any characters questions, I would ask Charles Wallace. I would ask him how he met Mrs. Whatsit in the first place, and how he knew she was going to help him, not hurt him. I feel the most sympathy for Meg because the author makes it seem as though she does not do well in school, does not have any friends and misses her father. The character I think I am most like is Calvin. Calvin is smart, caring, likes to do things as a team and gives one hundred percent of himself in whatever he does. We are different because he is good at basketball and I am not. Also, his worst school subject is math, where that is my favorite subject.

The book I am reading is Stormbreaker. I have finished the book, and I have 2 big questions. One is for Alex, the main character, and another is for Anthony Horowitz. The question for Alex is How did you survive the trouble you went through? What was going through your mind when you were in the troubled situations, and had no help? I would ask this question because Alex was not an experienced spy. He was only 13 years old, and he had two weeks of poor training.
The question I would ask Horowitz is How did you come up with the idea for Stormbreaker? Did you receive an influence from somewhere, and if so what? I thought Stormbreaker had an excellent plot. There were also a lot of cliffhangers which made me want to read it more and more.
I feel sympathy for Alex. Alex was forced to be in M16. Alex also had almost died quite a number of times. Most importantly, Alex saved millions of kids from small pox. I am very proud of Alex for doing this. I have much respect for him because of his great sense of courage and pride.

Now that I am about halfway into my book and have a better feel for most of the characters, some questions have come up that I would like to ask the author (If he were here). In my book, I have noticed that the main character, Mathias, has always disagreed on certain ideas and tasks. He always seems to pick his own path instead of following every one of his other piers and ironically, he always makes the right choice. I would like to ask Brian Jacques why he makes Mathias this way. I have contemplated it and predicted that it was just to make his character more interesting, but I would like to know the true answer. In my last blog, I talked about how my book was written in the limited point of view. I also made some predictions on why Brian Jacques might have written in this way. (Read blog #2 for my predictions) I would like to know the true reasons of why Brian Jacques wrote this booking the limited point of view as well.
As you might already know, I love a book with a GREAT description of characters. I want to know their exact description, physically and emotionally, and their exact personality ECT. As I get a better feel of the characters and I start to anticipate their decisions, I become sympathetic for them. Mathias, the main character, is someone who I now know very well. He cares about his friends and is willing to go the extra mile for his town, called Abbey. As I read, I relate Mathias to some of the caring people in my life, including my grandparents and my parents. When Mathias gets hurt or is sad, I began to feel sad inside. I think that this is because I relate the character being sad to my parents or grandparents being sad.
Gregory The book I'm reading is called the titans curse in the Percy Jackson series. Now, the question i would have is for Thailia. I would ask why in the world would she decide that she would become a hunter(followers of the goddess of the hunt Artimis) and become a maiden forever. I would ask this beacuse the titan lord is arising from the pits of tarterus to destroy the world and mount olypmus and everything that is good and pure in the world. She want to aviod the profecy of become the one to save or destroy olympus isntead of fight it along side percy. How could she be so selfish.

The book im reading is All American Girl. There are many things I would ask Samantha at this point. But, the most important thing i woulld have to ask her is why would she jump in front of the president if she knew she might get hurt? I mean she didn't really know him and I just found it interesting how quickly she threw herself in front to save him. I feel sympathy for Samantha because she is becoming more famous by the minute and she just wants to get back to her normal life. I also fell sympathy for the president becuase he almost got shot and killed!! I am more like Samantha's older sister because she is nice, smart and love being with my friends. I am not like her because I don't hate or cause trouble in school.

I have finished my first book Pendragon and now iam on my second book and it is called Maximum Ride The Angel Expirement by James Patterson. If i could ask the main character something i would ask is how can she put up with always running away from the people who are trying to catch her. I do feel a lot of sympathy for Angel because she is only six but since she is a human with wings the scientist want to expirement with her and she is being tested all day and is kept in a dog cage.

I am halfway done with my book, New Moon. So far,if I could ask any questions to any characters I would choose two. Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. I would ask Bella if she even missed Edward at all, since she is hanging out with Jacob Black all the time. I would ask her this question because since she used to love Edward and staying with him..., I mean does she still feel the same way? I would ask Edward Cullen why he left Bella in the first place. I would ask him this question because if he cares so much for Bella why did he abandon her? I feel sympathy for Bella because she is heart-broken. First, Edward left her and now Jacob has started to not be her friend anymore. The character that I am most like is Bella. She is smart and caring. She loses friends and gains new ones, just like me. She has moved and so have I. She watches movies with her friends and I do that too.

The book I am reading is So B It.
One question I would like to ask is Mr. Hill really Heidi's grandma and if so why did;t Mr. Hill want to live with Heidi's mom and grandma? I have sympathy for Heidi because her mom has a brain problem and all Heidi wanted to know was her past. She didn't know her dad or grandparents. That one word that her mama kept saying was driving her crazy. She would do anything to kind out what soof meant. So I feel bad for Heidi.

I would ask the main character why she does'nt, just show somebody she can see the Hotel, with her binoccluars. I don't feel any sympathy for her becaue so far she has'nt did as much things that you who expect her to.
3. In the story My Sisters Keeper, the main character is Anna Fitzgerald. I am similar to her in a few ways. She struggles to figure out who she really is and wants to make her own decisions. Her family makes some decisions that she feels she could make on her own. I don't always get to make decisions for myself. Sometimes Anna is stuck in a situation where she doesn't know how to react so she just runs from it. When I don't know what to do in some situations I also try to get out of them.

I am reading Into Thin Air. At this point in the book, the climbers are becoming acclimated with the changing altitude. They are climbing up to higher base camps and then retreating to gain strength. Not surprisingly, they are all having breathing and stamina issues. The air is thin and the lack of oxygen is taking its toll on everyone’s ability to think clearly, stay healthy and stay strong. They are realizing how difficult it is to summit Mount Everest. Each group of climbers has assigned dates to climb. The head climbers all have their own ideas as to when the weather will be best to climb the mountain. They know that they have a small window before the weather turns and they want their climbers, who have paid a lot of money, to have an opportunity to summit.
At this point in the story I would like to ask Jon or Rob if they have confidence in their climbers. Knowing that each climber is already struggling, do they feel that each will gain strength and remain healthy to summit? Is the sacrifice, pain, nausea, and burning lungs, worth it in your quest to climb Mount Everest? Do you ever feel that you might die on the mountain?
I feel sorry for Andy Harris. In his quest to climb Mount Everest, he was hit in the chest with a boulder as it barreled down the mountain. He survived only because he was attached to a safety rope. He certainly learned the value of following safety procedures.
I feel sympathy for Scott Fisher, the leader of the expedition, Mountain Madness. He has a huge responsibility for the safety of his group of climbers. Not only have they paid him a small fortune for the opportunity to climb with him alsi, they expect to be successful. Scott climbed up and down the mountain, as his climbers needed help. He did not staff himself well because his assistant, a Russian named Boukreev, did not help him sufficiently.

The book that I am reading is Peaches. The authors name is Jodi Lynn Anderson. One question that I would ask the Leeda and Murphy(two of the three main characters) why they didnt talk to eachother at school after spring break? It seemed to me that by the time they left the orchard in spring, they were somewhat close. I would also ask Leeda(since shes in the "popular" group) why she would let her friends talk that way about her somewhat close friend Murphy, if she knew it wasn't true.
I mostly feel sympathy for Birdie. SHe is going through a really rough time right now and just when things start to pick up, they fall back down again. Firstly her parents are getting a divorce.
Secondly the peach orchard wasn't doing well for a lon time-thankfully that picked up. Third with boys. Their is a boy worker on the orchard named Enrico and she likes him, but evertime she talks to him it ends up being akward.
I think that I am very different from all three main characters. I am not spoiled or ignored by my parents like Leeda. My parents are not getting a divorce, I am not shy. I am not like Murphy because I am not as crazy as she is. Murphy is not afraid to get in trouble and I am- kind of. Things never seem to work out that well for Murphy and she is going through major obstacles in her life right now.
Therefore I am like niether one of the main characters.

I am very similar to pinnochio from my story. We both don't listen. He ignores a lot of people and i have a tendence to do that. I also am very unaware of my surroundings as well as pinnochio. In the story he fell asleep with his feet on the braizer and his feet got burned off. Now i wouldn't do that but i would walk into a door or trip because I am not paying attention. Also me and the main character are both whiners. The main character always is asking for something and if he doesn't get it he whines. I do this sometimes

My book Confessions From The Principle's Chair is almost finished. One question I have for the author is why she decided to be a character in the book instead of being a limited writer. I have sympathy for the mother in the book because even when her daughter was being rude and disrespectful she never backed away from what she knew was right. She only wanted to keep her daughter from taking the wrong path and getting herself into trouble.

The book I am reading is called Maniac Magee. One of the questions that I would want to ask would be directed to the main character Maniac. What I would like to know is why did you leave your best friends funeral. No matter what I would not ever leave my friends funeral. Even though its hard to see yourself there and to face the fact that your friend died,I give you some credit for showing up and supporting him. I also feel sympathy for Maniac because he has a hard life and its difficult to run all over the place like he does. Hopefuly his life will get better and he finds a good family to live with as the story comes to an end.
The book I am reading is I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You. So far I have many questions for the main character, Cammie Morgan. One question I would ask her is, How hard is it for you to act like a normal girl and not a spy? Another question would be, SInce your doing a great job so far, how do you do it? I also feel sympathy for Cammie because in order for her to go out with this guy Josh, she has to act like someone she's not. This is so that Josh doesn't find out that she is a spy.

The book i am reading is Perfect.
There are many things that I would like to ask the author or the characters. First, I would ask the author why the book is called "Perfect", if everything goes wrong with all the 4 girls in the story. Also, I want to know why she would make one character die because she knew too much about the mystery they were trying to find out.
I feel sympathy for one character, Emily. She is going to a program because her parents dont approve of her, and if she doesnt change who she is, she will be sent off to live with her aunt far away.

I am reading the book Everlost. A question that I would ask Allie is what do you except when you and Nick visit "The Haunter". Do you actually think there is a way to get back to the living world? A question I would ask the author, Neal Shusterman, is what inspired you to write Everlost.
I feel sympathy Allie because unlike Nick she doesn't want to be in Everlost any longer. She wants to get back to her family in the living world but she doesn't know how to yet.
A character I am similar to is Nick becuase he makes the best of things. He didn't see Everlost as a bad place because he was making the best of it.

The book I'm reading is called The Dangerous Days Of Daniel X.
If I could ask the author about the book, I would ask him how he can write so creatively. He must have an amazing imagination, and I'd love to ask him how he thinks of all these things. I feel sympathy mostly for the main character Daniel. He doesn't have any parents or siblings and is only fifteen years old. He continues to go around the country and lives in diffferent states, homes, etc. Daniel is an alien from a different planet, and has to save Earth from any bad aliens from other worlds. Imagine having to do that on a planet you are unfamiliar all by yourself and have no family or friends that you can talk to? It's already an extremely hard task, but makes it even harder to do on your own.

I am still reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. If I could meet with the author at this point in the story and ask any questions I want, I would ask why did you make Dobby die in the book? Dobby was a huge help to Harry and his friends and he could have been a bigger help to them. The characters I would feel sympathy for are Harry, Ron, and Hermione because they were given specific instructions to find the horcruxes, but they didn't know where to look. I also feel sympathy for them because whenever they went find a horcrux they always came close to death.

I am about half way down with my book, Bloomability. I am similar to the main character, Dinnie in many ways. We both know Italian (although I know more than she does), and we both go to a school where there are many types of races and religions. We are both girls, and we both have lived in different parts of Long Island at one point. But, there are many differences between Dinnie and I. Dinnie moved to Switzerland which means that she went out of the country before. I have only lived in the United States, and have never been out of this country. Also, Dinnie now lives with her aunt and uncle, not her mom and dad. I do not live with any of my aunts and uncles, I live with my mom and dad. Dinnie does not like where she lives, but I do. There are many similarities between Dinnie and I.

There are a ton of questions I would have for the author and the characters in my book. First off, i would ask the author how she came up with this type of story.. it really keeps me reading. Also i would ask why she names the books what she calls them, Flawless, Perfect, and Unbelieveable. I don't know why she is calling them this when they really have nothing to do with the stories. Only the first book in the series, Pretty Little Liars, makes sense to me. I would ask all 4 characters in my book, Emily Spencer Aria and Hannah, why they just don't tell the police that they're being threatened and let them deal with it, they shouldn't care if "A" blackmails them, it's better for her to be heard of so they find "A". I feel sympathy for all 4 main characters. They are all being tortured by this anonomous and mysterious "A". The girls are getting blackmailed and they must do whatever "A" says, it must be pretty hard being in their shoes.
Hey Mr. Haase it's Brennan S from your period 2 class. The book that I had finished was called "Slam" by Walter Dean Myers, but there are many questions I would ask the author and main character. One question I would ask the author is " Why did Slam get so upset when Ice was dealing"? I feel sympathy for Slam because his best friend had lied to him about dealing drugs, which made Ice upset. Me and Slam are similar because we both love basketball in a passionate way.
Brian L p5
There are many things that I would like to ask the main character of the story. One question I would ask the main character is why he got married so early? If I were him I would wait until after college to get married because it would give me more time for working. I would also ask What made him decide to play football when he was a kid? I want to see what gave him his love for the sport. I feel simpathy for Brian Piccalo in the story because he was killed from a malignant tumor when he was not that old. He had made it all the way to the NFL and then died before he was able to really do anything with his carrer.

DO NOT READ THIS COMMENT IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED READING STORMBREAKER OR IF YOU PLAN ON READING IT! IT GIVES AWAY THE ENDING.
I have already finished my book, Stormbreaker. I have a few questions I would like to ask Alex. One is how did you manage to stay calm in certain situations? Like when the giant jelly fish was coming towards you, or when people where trying to shoot you. Another question is why did you shoot the prime minister? why not just shoot Herod Sayle which would cause the prime minister to run away or why not just shoot the computer?
I feel sympathy for a few characters. One is Herod Sayle. Though he is evil, I do feel sympathy for him. I do because growing up he was made fun of for his size. He also spent almost half of his childhood living in the ally ways of Egypt. Another character I feel sympathy for is Mr.Grin. I feel sympathy for him because he was a knife master in the circus before he became evil. He had one accident, and it was one he would never forget. He was juggleing knives and one fell cut his face and slit his tongue off. He was no longer able to speak after that incident. The last person I have sympathy for is Alex. He was forced to join the MI6. If he didnt he would lose his home and have to live in an orphanage. He also had to go on a very dangerous mission with only a yo-yo with advanced nylon that was extremely strong, a creme that would melt through any metal, and a game boy with 3 cartriges that were not only games but each one was somthing special, so what im trying to say is that he had no weapons for protection and two weeks of training. That is why I feel sympathy for these people.

If I could ask the main character in my book, Silent to the Bone, a question, I would ask him why he is so persistent in trying to figure out why his friend can't talk. He has spent all of his time for a month investigating and his friend hasn't made the least amount of progress. I would think he would give up and try something else because obviously what he is doing is not working. I feel sympathy for the character telling the story because he is working very hard and he is not seeing any results at all!

The book I am reading is "What if you broke all the rules". I would ask the author why she give the book it's name. Haley in the book never really breaks any rules and is almost honest with everything. She has a lot of friends but problems at hom. Her mom is never home and she has to ask her mom aout going to spain. She actually does, instead of just going with out asking her. I would also ask the author why she made the book not a complete book. Like she made you turn to a certain page, skipping about half the book. I want to know why she did that I do feel sympathy for the main charater, Haley. She has the same birthday as me, Feb 14 and is a girl was high school problems. She goes though alot with different boys and different groups of girls. She is a smart girl with a whole life in front of her!!
Nicole J p8
The book I am reading is "What if all the boys wanted you". Questions I would ask the author is why she sets up the book the way she does. She makes you skip almost half the book to a page that you think Haley's life is going. Why doesnt she just make it a one book, where you just go though all chapters? Another question I would ask her is how she came up with these books. Did anything in her life make her write books like this? I do feel sumpathy to the main charater, Haley. She is a teen ager with alot of problems. She has some crushes on boys and different friends. She lives the high school life, just like me!!

My book is Fade. It is still terrible.I really wonder why the whole book has to do with death, racism, and sexual themes every page?I also wonder why the author has to have the book told from 3 different characters. In the end I feel no sympathy for any characters because they are all sinister corrupted humans who deserve nothing. The only person that deserves anything is the hobo who helped the child that became a murdering psyco and killed his foster father.

I am reading My Sister's Keeper. In the book, Anna's older sister has lukemia. Anna was actullay only "made" to save her sister. She has to donate blood, bone marrow, and now, a kidney. She was never really asked if she wanted to, though. since day one of her life, she's been dontating stuff to save her sister. Now since she is thirteen, Anna has decided to sue her parents for the right of her own body. Her parents, especially her mom, are shocked. The lawsuit is relly hard for Anna, since her mom is the opposing attorney. Her mom thinks that Anna shouldn't be able to have a say, because it will save her sister's life. Now, her dad is on Anna's side, though the mom doesn't know. At this point in the story, I would ask Sarah, the mom, how hard it is for her, because she has a sick daughter, a trouble making son,(21 yrs) and now, another daughter who is sueing her. I would also ask Brian, the dad, how is he able to make a choice and choose sides? I mean, it is a really tough choice- choose his wife and believe that Anna should not be able to say no, or choose Anna, and think that his wife is wrong? I also feel sympathy for him. He, I think, has the toughest time out of the whole family. I can't wait to see the decision that the judge will make.
PS> The other book I was reading, Lorna Doone, was not that great. I wouldn't recommend it.

The book I am reading is 19 Minutes. There are a couple things I would like to ask the author and the main charcter(s). I say characters, because it really varies. There will be a chapter on the Peter, the shooter (and his lawyer), a chapter about Josie (usually a flashback) and sometimes about Josie's mom Alex. Obviously I haven't attended any school shootings, but I would like to ask Josie how it feels to lose one of the only people who cared about you in the world. Yes I know that sounds like an extremely mean question, but though she is popular, she found that her boyfriend Matt was the only person that actually thought about her. I definently feel sympathy for Josie or anybody that was victimized in the shootings. This will sound weird, but I think this is the reason for the story anyway, but I feel sympathy for Peter, the school shooter. Since it would take hours to explain all of the ways he was bullied, tortured, and made fun of, I will just say that it was unspeakable. His lawyer's defense is something like Bullied Student Syndrome. I don't think I can really relate to any of these characters.
AlexandraM8
The book thay I am reading is called The Garden of Lies. A question that I would like to ask the author is will Rachel ever find out that Sylvie is not her real mother? Rose already knows the truth, but Sylvie does not want to tell Rachel. I think that it would really change the way that the characters see each other if Rachel knew that she and Rose were switched at birth. I would also like to ask the author if Rose will be able to accept Sylvie as her mother? Rose grew up without any parents, so she can either embrace the love that Sylvie is offering her or reject it. I feel the most sympathy for Rose becuause she grew up feeling like an outcast in her own family. Rose had to overcome many obstacles including losing her boyfriend Brian to another woman (who ended up being Rachel) to become the successful lawyer that she is.

I am on my second book titled “Speak”, which is written by the same author as my first book, Laurie Halse Anderson. One question that I would ask the author is why she chooses to write books about troubled high school girls. Prom was about a troubled girl who went to a difficult school and the events surrounding her prom. Speak is about a girl who is having a terrible freshman year. So far in this book nothing good has happened to Melinda, the main character, and this is also why I feel sympathy for her. I would also like to ask this author if her books are based on her own high school experience and if not, where she gets her ideas.
I feel sympathy for Melinda because when she started high school all her friends had moved on. All her friends made new friends and now were more popular than her. She no longer had a group of friends she could count on. Her friends became involved in many activities and separated from Melinda. She now had no one. Everyone always thinks she’s the bad one, but she is just trying to fit in.
I am not like the main character because I am involved in activities with most of my friends. Also, Melinda doesn’t really care about school and she gets in trouble a lot. She doesn’t get good grades and always gets in trouble with her parents because of it. Melinda is having a difficult time adjusting to high school.

My book is called Jingle Boy and at the point that I am in my book, there is one question that I would like to ask the author or main character. I would definitely ask why the main character didn't feel differently yet. The main character at first loved Christmas and now hates Christmas so much. I wanted to know why he didn't like Christmas yet because usually at the end of books, the characters tend to "see the light" and change their minds.
I also feel sympathy for a couple of characters. I wish that the main character would solve his problems and get over Sarah. I also wish that the main character's dad would be better and healed because he is in the hospital from getting electrocuted. I also hope for the mom to have an easier time because the house was burnt down but not all the way and she has an economic issue with the fact that she needs to find a good job.

The book I'm reading is Lord of the Flies.
If i could ask the author a question, i would ask him how he came up with the name for the book. So far, I have not found anything in the book that would show me why he would give the book this title.
A way that i am different from the main character is that i would not have the confidence to lead a group of boys on a deserted island. I would not be able to survive either. He is much braver than me as well.

The book I am reading is On The Brightside I am Now The GF Of A Sex God.
One question I would ask the author of this book is....." What inspired you to write this series of novles?". In the 2nd book I am reading now I don't feel sympathy for any of the characters because nothing is really happeninf right now in the beggining of the book. In the first book Angus Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging there was more in the beggining than there is in the 2nd book.

At the point im at in my story,I feel like im not really like any of the characters. The two main characters are a boy that has no social life. And a girl who is always excited. First, i have alot of friends. And second, im not always excited, most of the time not at all. This is why im not like the characters.

If I were to ask my main character Daniel a question at this point in my novel I would ask him if he is comfortable were he is in Germany, is he worried or scared? I would ask this because he is identified as a half jew in Germany. He has a cousin Miriam staying with them who is jewish and might immigrant to escape the nuemburg laws and other anti semetic actions. Now there is a greater risk of Daniel's family being torn apart. I feel sympathy for Miriam because she has a hard and dificult life in germany, her father is also in a "pre concentration" camp.
The book I am reading is Vampire Plagues. I would ask the main character and author a couple of questions about their actions. I would ask the main character Jack “Why were you willing to help Benedict, when you could have brought him to his owner and receive an award?” Well Jack is a squire boy who must steal or do anything to obtain food. If he gave the owner of the ship benedict he could have received enough money to purchase food for a whole month. I would want to ask the author the question “Why are you portraying Sir Donald as an evil and now hated person?” Sir Donald was the person who helped Benedict’s father and his Uncle and all of a sudden, when he wants to cut the journey and catch the bats that were killing them he was now hated. Was Sir Donald not supposed to catch these bats, but let them kill all those people on their voyage including himself?
There is one character I feel sympathy for and that is Jack. He is a squire boy and now he met this random kid and they are becoming best friends. He never had a friendship with anyone, but this new friend and his friend’s sister needs help and this squire boy does not know what they are talking about when Ben explains what is happening with the bats and how it connects with the Mayan civilization. Another thing is that he does not know how to read so when he bought this book, he could not read it and help his friends. One last thing is that when he got clothes from his friend, he was so excited that now he has more than one thing to wear.

I am about halfway done with my book and i would like to ask the author why to have one of what i thought was main characters die? This part of the book was very like situational irony where i had not even the slightest hint that this would happen. If i were to feel sympathetic for anyone in this book, it would have to be the main character, Cameryn for the loss and now having to figure out the case of her friend rachel, who i am also sympathetic for because she was murdered and had no idea it was going to happen. This is who i feel sympathetic for so far.

The book that I have finished reading is called Eragon, by Christopher Paolini. A question I would ask the author is: "Was it like to write a 700 page book while in school?" I would ask him this because when he wrote the book, he was only fifteen. I did feel sympathy for the main character, Eragon, in the beginning of the book. This is because all of his family, except for his cousin, Roran, were dead, and he never knew his mother and was very close to his uncle who raised him, Garrow, who was killed by the Raz'zac, the king's minions.

If I could ask the author or main character a question i would ask the author what specifically happened during the accident at the beginning of the book. I would also ask him if star will ever be able to walk again. At the beginning of the story it doesn't say what happened in the accident it just said that Vanover died and star got the bends.
Also I feel sympathy for star because when she tried to save Vanover she went down too fast and got the bends. She can't walk as of now and she might have to go home to California.

If I was able to ask Alex Rider some questions, I would ask these.
How did you piece together that your uncle's death was strange?
I would ask this because it has been bugging me as to how he pondered how someone died.
And, the other question I would ask is:
Why didn't you just choose to go away to an orphanage rather than work for MI6?
I want to know this because in my position, after being informed on my job, I wouldn't have taken up the offer, even if it meant getting sent away.
I feel sympathy for Alex because in all of the books he has no other choice but to work for MI6, and I think that isn't fair.

1. I would like to ask to author, Scott Westerfeld, how he gets the inspiration to write such amazing and imaginative books (I read many of his novels), because they are so creative and consist of concepts that would never even cross my mind. I would also ask if the characters in Midnighters were based off of anyone he knows, or maybe himself, because the characters are very easy to become attached to.
2. I feel sympathy for Melissa, the "mindcaster" in the group, because although her power is psycic, and one would think psycic = awesome, Melissa describes it as being in a room with fifty radios blasting, all tuned to different stations. She has to carry around the "weight" of everyones' minds, feeling every single one of their thoughts and crazy emotions. I would also feel sympathy for Dess, because even though she had lived in Bixby for years, Melissa and Rex found each other when they were young, leaving Dess alone with the confusion of why she was "different" and alone for a whole blue hour in the day until four years after they had met.

The book name is Painting The Black. There are many different things that you would ask the the author of the book. One would be is that the main charchtars parents dont let him play football. I don't really know eirther why his parents don't let him play. He is good at the game put his parents don't care.
In Blue Bloods, there are about 45 million questions I have for the author and main character, but I'll shorten the list. One question I would ask the main character,Shuyler, is what she thinks happened to one of her friends,Dylan, after he was supposedly attacked by a Silver Blood. Also,I would ask the author how she was able to come up with a plot that has so many intricate twists and turns, yet still doesn't confuse the reader. One character that I truly feel sympathetic for is Dylan. Dylan has my pity because throughout this ENTIRE story, this kid NEVER catches a break. I mean, first he started off being a juvenile delinquent, then he was arrested, and then he was assaulted by a murderous mythical creature. You can't really top that "bad day" story.

I just started my second book, The Supernaturalist. My first question about this book would be to the author and that is when does this book take place? The new, interesting world that Eoin Colfer introduced seems half realistic and half not. Another question would be for the main character, Cosmo. Since the orphanage you grew up in wsa highly dangerous, with a life expectancy of only 14, are you still healthy enough to kill all of those parasites being 14? It also must be pretty hard shooting at the parasites and people with no combat experience at all. I do feel a lot of sympathy for Cosmo because of his life. Born without knowing his parents, he spent his entire 14 years at an orphanage. If that wasn't bad enough, this particular orphanage has their children test out hazardous products daily. He nearly dies trying to escape, and one of his only friends gets killed by his side.

I am reading the book, Lost and Found. If I could ask the author some questions, I would ask why the dog, Cooper, plays such a big part in the story. I would ask that question because in the beginning of the story it is all about the main character, Rocky, and towards the middle and the end Cooper is the focus of the story. I would also ask why she made Rocky have an interest in archery when Rocky knows her dog almost got killed by an arrow. I feel the most sympathy for Rocky because she lost the love of her life and as soon as she starts to get her life back together with the help and love of a dog, she gets something else taken away. Rocky moved to an island to have a calm life and her life is filled with more with sadness as she settles on the island.

Hey Mr.Haase the book I am reading is One Tough Marine and I have almost completed it but there are some questions that come to mind when I think about Sergeant Hamblen and how he was a marine with one leg.
The questions I would ask Sergeant Hamblen(he is also the author for it is an autobiography)is how did you do it and why?Why would you put yourself through rigorous pain just to go back to war into a zone where there is a deep sorrow of death and decay? And finally what made you make the decison I am anxious to know?
The person I feel the most sympathy for is obviously Hamblen because as a child he was always put down for he had dislexia and had to be held at the same standards as the other children thus he was always looked upon "un-capable."Also I feel sympathetic because he was a marine with ONE LEG!!!!!!!!!

I just recently finished "Mother Night", as you know, and now I am reading "God Is Dead" by Ron Currie Jr. (And for all you people who keep nagging at me for reading such a "sinful" book, okay, it's just a book, a fiction book, so relax! It doesn't mean I agree or disagree with it, and also, you are completely assuming what it's about, so just mind your own business... *sigh*)Anyway... :-)
I'll be answering question three. One of the characters in this book, Dani Kitchen, is quite different but also slightly similar to me. She is similar in that she doesn't like to focus on sad or negative things. She also is eminently unorganized like I am. She is different from me because she is far too care-free and treats many things that should be more meaningful like nothing.

At this point in the novel, I would probably ask the author what time period he lived in. It is kind of different since a teenager lived in Spain for 3 weeks waiting for his mother to finally come. That same teen also invited 8 friends to come live with them on a Greek island for a week and didn't tell his mom until they almost arrived. They had to buy a bigger just to fit the newcomers, which in my eyes, seems an extreme waste of money and was pointless since there were hotels. I would definitely feel sympathy for the poor mother of the teen because she has to undergo additional stress while still taking care of her 4-5 children without a husband. I have no idea if the husband died or what because the book never said anything about him so far. I also lost count of her children cause she has many and the only way I cn see is by counting the amount of different people who talk. Finally, I just wanted to tell you guys that derek L p2 spoiled one of the reasons I was going to read Brisingr. THANKS A LOT "READINGTOMUCH".
sry again guys but i noticed i had a typo here is the REAL sentence. "They had to buy a bigger VILLA just to fit the newcomers, which in my eyes, seems an extreme waste of money and was pointless since there were hotels." noticed i added the word villa and no it normally would not be in all caps. i just made it that way so you guys could notice a distinct difference between this sentence and the other one. the sentence is only the party between the parenthesis for those of you who lack common sense.

The book I am reading is Pretty Little Devils. If I could ask the characters questions, I would ask Hazel. Hazel is the main character in this book. I would ask how does it feel to hang out with the popular people in your school. I would also ask if she is still friends with her old ones or are they jealous. I don't really feel sympathy for any characters because it seems they are good even though they go to parties and such.

The book I am reading is called Twilight. If I had to ask the author some questions I would ask her, why is the book written from Bella's point of view? I would also ask, where did you come up with some of the names in the book? Some of the names are really extravagant and I would like to know where he thought of them.
I feel sympathy for Bella in the story. I feel that way because of the way she had to start her life over in a new town. She had a fine life with her mother, then she was forced to leave and go live with her Father. She had a hard time adjusting to the new town.

The book I am reading is called "Bella at Midnight". There are many questions I would like to ask the main character. One question I would like to ask Isabell(Bella) is why did you go to save Prince Jullian's life after he betrayed you. Another question is why did you go back to your father’s house after he abandoned you for sixteen years. Also I would like to ask why did Isabell go to such great lengths to please her real father even when all the father would do is yell at her and tell her to get out of his sights.
I feel sympathy for the characters
Isabell and Anna. I feel sympatric for Isabell because first her mother died giving birth to her. Second her father gave her up when she was a baby. Third being forced after living with her foster family ,who she loves, for sixteen years to come back to her cruel father's house. Forth for having her best friend since birth, prince Jullian, betray her.
I also feel sympathy for Anna for having lost her beloved father. Also for having all their things taken away from them. I also sympathize her for having a cruel mother and an even crueler sister,Matilda. One thing I am happy for them is that when Isabell's real father married Anna's mother they became step sisters and were able to help each other throughout the book.
I sympathize prince Jullian for many reasons also. One thing I sympathize him for is not getting the chance to make up for hurting her even though he wanted to apologize to Isabell. I also sympathize him because he is offered as a hostage by his family to stop a war that is happening. Another reason I feel sympathy to him is because his own brother planed to kill him because he was a so called "traitor" for agreeing to be held hostage to stop the war.One last reason I feel sympathy to him is because when Isabell went missing after the war when Jullian went to find her she was missing and then he realized he loved her so he hoped she would not be dead but he could not find her and when he went to her family to see if they'd seen her and they had not. It haunted him in his sleep because he knew the only reason she was dead was because of him indirectly. Read the book if you like my blog. THE BOOK IS GOOD.

The book I am reading is Fatality. If I could ask the main character Rose questions I would ask her What is in that diary that so special? Did she really see something that weekend? If she did why she is no telling the truth? Is someone after her?
I feel sympathy to Angelica because her dad is getting accused of killing someone, she was really close to, and no one wants to talk her because they think her dad is a murder.
Greg B P2 In my book the main character has come to one of the biggest points in his life. He has been given the job he will be doing for the rest of his life and it is the biggest and most important job in the community. I would like to ask the main character how surprised he is and how he feels about it. I feel sympathy for him because this job gives him a lot of responsibility and this job is very lonely and you barely ever see anyone.

I am almost done with my book. I am reading, For One More Day, by Mitch Albom. If I were given the chance to ask the main character of the book, Charley “Chick” Benetto, any question i would ask him if he was learning anything from having “one more day” with his dead mother. I would ask him if he had regret any of the decisions he had made in his life. I would also ask him if he got a chance to go back and change a few things in his life, what he would change. I definitely feel sympathy for Charley Benetto because he is confused right now. He doesn’t know how he is seeing his dead mom standing right in front of him. He made many wrong decisions in his life. I feel bad that he in lonely because he lost connection with his daughter and he left his wife. Charley was not living a good life after his mom died. Everything went down hill. His life was full of alcohol and regret. He lost his job and now he has nothing. After he realizes that he wasn’t invited to his own daughter’s wedding, he completely lost it. He even took it as far as trying to kill himself several times.

The book that I am reading is called Artemis Fowl. The main character of the story is Artemis Fowl. I think I am very different than he is. This is because he is very smart, thinks outside the box and never gives up on something he is doing. I do not apply to anyone of those traits. That is why I would consider myself different from Artemis Fowl.

There are many things I would ask the main character. One thing I would ask him is why is he falling into this peer pressure and bad influences. I feel sympathy for the main character, Jamal because he is being pressured to do wrong things and he is falling into it. Jamal and I have different minds because if it was me in his position I wouldn't fall into the sort of pressure.
[I am almost done with Twilight]
I would like to ask Bella Swan if she was ever uncomfortable with Edward and if she ever wanted to date Jacob Black.
I feel sympathy for Jacob Black and Edward Cullen. I feel sympathy for Jacob because he loves Bella but his pushed away and I feel sympahy for Edward because he can never be "human" with her and has to be careful all the time.
I am similar to Jessica because I always feel I am left out of something and i end up with the wrong guy most of the time.

I'm on my 3rd book now, I'm reading Eclipse. They're is not much that I would ask the author and main character. First I would ask Stephenie Meyer, the author, why she made Bella so selfish. She is always doing things for herself, and never thinking about Edward. Second, I would ask Edward how he puts up with her. He is always so patient with her, no matter what she does. Third, I would ask Bella, herself why she is so selfish. If she loves Edward so much, she should think about him some more so he could have an easier life. I feel sympathy for Edward because he loves Bella so much, and does everything for her, but she wont do very much for him.

The question I would like to ask John Howard Griffin, who is also the main character, is, if he would go to such extremes as he did to research the lives of African Americans and became black, if he needed to write about the lives of just all kinds of American homeless people, would he consider to spend few months on the streets and under the bridges? I would like to know what was his driving force to research this particular topic with such devotion and would he have found that the lives and treatment of homeless are similar from the perepective of regular people , black or white.
I feel sympathy for all the Black Southeners that lived in poverty and had no chnces to overcome their limitations in society because there was no powerful leader that would organize them to fight for their rights and education.
I am quite different than John Howard Griffin because I do not see myself going to such lengths to learn about others to be able to become one of them. I would like to be able to always stay myslef and stand for something important, even unpopular but as me.

The book I am reading is called “What if Everyone Knew your Name?” by Lisi Harrison. I feel that I am somewhat different though like the main character, Haley. In the beginning, I feel that I am more like the character haley than I feel now, towards the middle/end. In the beginning haley is more of a sweet, down to earth girl from California. She was just a normal girl who really wasn’t so called “popular” because of how she acted, dressed, or for any of those reasons. She had her group of friends and was happy with that. She was “popular” in the way of being herself and being liked for that. After meeting, and becoming “friends” with Coco and her posse, she began to not be herself. She was influenced by them in a negative way. Instead of wearing a longer skirt she wore a mini skirt and heels, not even close to what she usually wears! Now people look at her differently. I feel that I hae my huge group of friends and all of them like me for who I am, not for things like Coco(material items). I think that all of my friends are great and don’t influence me negatively.
hey its joey
The thing that I want to know is will perry and judy ever be re-united.............? will have to read on to find out. The character that I think that I am most like is peewee because we both are out going and have great personalities.
The character that I have sympathy for is jenkins because he is the first one in the squad to be killed off. I am expecting a little more than half of the character to be killed by the end but, I had a little bit of sympathy for jenkins because he was first.

Firstly, the book I'm going to talk about is the last book I read because the book I just started I don't have enough information about.
How are you similar or different from the main character(s)?
I am very different from the main character, Melinda. In fact, we are almost opposites. Melinda relies on her friends too much, has no relationship with her family, and has no independence or confidence. When Melinda looses her friends because she calls the cops at an end of the year party, as she enters high school everyone hates her. She has no friends and no one to talk to. Instead of making new friends or simply trying to make up with her friends like I would do, she goes on with her life always pitying herself and never looking at all her options. She also has no relationship with her parents. From experience, I know parents help a great deal because they have already gone through what you're going through and know how to guide you in the right direction. Since Melinda cannot talk to her parents, she is on her own. She hides in her closet and goes through the year basically in silence, as she fails her classes and hides a secret that is tearing her apart. All she does all year is think about what happend at the party and talks to know one about it. I would make a friend, or make a relationship with a parent, or even a teacher, and let someone know what's going on. It's not until the end that Melinda is sort of like myself. She finally realizes she can't live her life this way. If she just wallows in the past all the time, what is she going to do with her future. A perfect example that can compare Melinda and I is that I used to fight with one of my best friends all the time. I always used to say that it wasn't my fault and I'd always hang on to her. It was pathetic. I was depending on her too much and she basically ended up ruling my life, just like Melinda. One day, I got in a huge fight with her and I decided to confront my mom about it, someone who has witnessed all my fights with this friend. My mom just told me to "let go." I was holding on to this girl like there was no where else my life would go without her. I decided to follow my mom's advice and I let go. She ended up coming back to me asking to be my friend. Because Melinda has no relationship with anyone anymore, she spent a year by herself without anyone by her side. Throughout the book she lacks confidence and independence and hides in a closet. In some ways I feel bad for her, because she never really had any reason she had to stand on her own and all of a sudden she has no one. I used to be like Melinda. I used to depend on my friends 100% and had a relationship with my parents, but it wasn't very strong. I had no confidence and would put my self down all the time. But once you go through loss a few times you realize that you have to live your own life and it cannot my ruled by anyone but you. Post-Melinda is a person no one should be, and I sort of think that's the message of the story. Current-Melinda is someone I think most people find in them selves, but it may take a while. So, I think I am not like Melinda at all. Really, it's post-Melinda I am not like. But the new Melinda is someone everyone should be. And independent, strong person.

The novel(s) I am currently reading is/are The Secrets of my Hollywood Life, by Jen Calonita. A question I would ask the author is "Is this a real reflection of what you witnessed during your days at Teen People?", as well as "Are some starlets really like Kaitlin?" because I really like this character, and the books have really givin me a different outlook on Hollywood. I feel sympathy for the protaganist, Kaitlin, because she has really insane stageparents, and an over-caffinated publicist. I am a lot like Kaitlin because she is very level headed, and careful not to get caught up in being a big star.
Sorry, Mr. Haase. Forgot to mention this in my first post (see above). I wanted to do all three questions. Hope that's OK!

I finished the book new moon yesterday. There is only one question that I have for the author, Stephanie Meyer, Why would Edward let Bella get so old and still be with her- I mean why doesn't he just let Carlisle change her into a vampire a.s.a.p? At this point I only feel bad for Bella because Edward is refusing to change her into a vampire. I am most like Bella because she and I are both really clumsy.

Q.2) I feel sorrow for john because throughout the story he has been through a lot and to lose his best friend must be intense for him.
Blog 3:(sorry it is late) the book I am reading is Sure Fire. The questions I would ask the main character would be why would you try to find your father if you have seen gun shots and been shot at, you could get killed? I relate to the main characters because they are both very smart and are creative.

at this point in my novel i would like to ask the author what made you write a book like this one. I would ask him because this is a werid topic to write about. Also i wonder if he likes teenagers because all this book is about is teenagers.
The character i feel most sympathy for is Valerie because she ran away and is on her own.
1. I would like to ask him up to this point in the story what would've happened if his aunt had not died.
2. I feel sympathy for Matt because he just lost his aunt and has to take on a huge responsibility.
In my book Gregor the Overlander the question I would ask is what thoughts are going through your mind and how are you feeling? I would ask this because he finds out that he is in a prophacy in a short notice and it is coming true at the same time. He is different than me because he worries alot and I wouldn't like in the story he doesnt trust the bat enough to even ride his little sister even thogh they are safer in their hands than they are in a humans hand
