Ground Rules for B(ook)LOGGING...

  • Don't write anything here that will have to be removed. All comments are moderated.
  • Also, please follow rules of standard English so that all can understand you.
  • Please sign your post, so I know who you are and give you credit for it. Use your first name and initial and period number ex. DougE2. Don't use your full name.
  • No flaming allowed. You may politely disagree about a book, but you are not allowed to call someone an idiot because they didn't like the ending of your favorite book. Use good judgement.
  • Do be honest about your books. The goal of this blog is to share the good books we are reading and ultimately review them.
  • Don't be a spoiler. Giving away the ending to a book is unforgivable!!

(Thanks to Mrs. Pilgrim for paving the way in book-blogging.)

Entry #1: Signposts and the Exposition

Now that you're shin- or knee- deep in your novel, share a few things about it. For starters, the exposition introduced you to the main characters, setting, and perhaps, the central conflict. Well, what are they? Who's the protagonist? What's the problem?

After giving us the background information on your book, let us know if you have identified any SIGNPOSTS, you know, things in the story that draw your attention and make you slam on the breaks. If you've spotted any signposts, let us know what you'll be looking for as the book continues.

WELCOME TO THE BLOG!!!
