I am currently reading a book,
"The Lightning Thief". This book is about a boy named Percy Jackson, age 13 who discovers that outside his ordinary life, he is son of a God from the Greek Mythologies, Poseidon. Percy is dyslexic and has ADHD which get him kicked out of basically every private school he has ever been to. His disabilities help him in the Mythic World though because his dyslexic disability gives him a hard time reading English yet he is fluent in Greek. His ADHD makes him very jumpy which shows that it is his battle reflexes bottled in. During a trip with his mother to Montauk, he suddenly is attacked by a Minotaur, the legendary man/ bull guy. Percy's best friend Grover who is actually a satyr (goat bottom down) transforms from his human form to try and protect Percy. Percy's mother begs him to go to Camp Half- Blood, a camp of which the campers are children of the Gods. Percy fulfills his mother's last wish as she is driven down by the Minotaur. At Camp Half- Blood, Percy learns that there is much trouble at Olympia ever since his true father, Poseidon claimed to him to be his son. The Gods believe that Percy stole Zeus's Master Bolt and Hades Death Helm. Percy now has to go on a quest to clear his name with Grover (the Goat Man) and a new acquaintance, Annabeth (daughter of Athena.) Percy practiced his sword fighting with the legendary sword Anaklusmos or as he calls it Riptide. He accepts the quest and tries to clear his name and prove to the Gods that he did not take it. So much written!!! Phewww! I really like this book so far. It has a lot of adventure and I am interested in Greek Mythology. I really can't wait to finish this book! :)
I dont know if i write my name here but im Zach Lebowitz Mr. Haases per 5 honors class and i am reading a book called "The Five People You Meet In Heaven" This book is about a man,Eddie, who spent the last years of his life working in a amusement park. This was his hangout spot when he was a kid and his father used to work there. In the book, a amusement park ride breaks down, a ride similar to "Dooms Tower" in Universal Studios. It is a ride that goes shooting up and shooting down. The ride breaks down and while it is falling, Eddie sees a little girl directly under the impact spot of the ride. Eddie jumps and reaches for the girl and in the blink of an eye, everything around him is white. He ends up in the amusement park, and all the old rides that were there when he was a child were there. This is Eddies heaven and soon, he will meet the five most important people he has met in his life. I have only gotten to the end of the second person and i am eager to find out who the next three are. This book is really good and once you start to read it, you cant take your eyes off it.
Zach you're not in Per. 5 Honors. I am and I don't think you are. You may want to change it sometime. BTW, the story sounds good. :) Sorry Mr. Haase but I really had to ditch the proper English language for a little.
I am reading the book "Lord of the Flies". This book is about a group of boys from Britain on their way to a vacation and their plane crashes on a deserted island. There are no adults on the island so the boys have to fight for themselves. Two boys, Ralph and Piggy (Yes that is his real name), bring all the boys together and they build a shelter, hunt for food, create a bathing pool and built a fire to attract planes, boats and helicopters. These boys took on this extreme task for survival. These boys created an alliance to help each other in times of need. With Ralph as the leader of the group, everything seems under control. This book is full of suspense. Wondering if the boys will ever be saved. Will they all make it? This book has action, adventure, and tons of suspense. I can't wait to finish this book.

The book that I am reading is called "Daniel Half Human". This book takes place in the mid 1900's. My book is about a boy named Daniel and his best friend named Armin. They are both supporters of the Nazi party. As Hitler gains more and more power over Germany the more Jews are separated, from schools, from families and from homes. Daniel and Armin are thinking about joining the HJ, which is a training process into becoming an SA officer, which is Hitler's defense force. Armin asks his parents and they say no, which is why Armin wanted to join more. Armin is a kid who doesn't listen to his parents as often as he should. On the other hand Daniel is the opposite. So Armin does join the HJ. Daniel's parents say no. But Daniel couldn't understand why. So he keeps on asking until the truth unfolds. Daniel is half Jewish. This was a major signpost in the story. Daniel is the exact thing he hates, that he wants to wipe of the face of the planet. From there things in the story start to unravel. I am really enjoying this novel. I have read many Nazi related novels from different points of view, the Jew, the Italian, and now the young german.

The recptionist gives her easy routes and answers all of Bella's questions. She makes friends with two people on her first day, Eric and Jessica. When she gets to lunch she notices a group of five beautiful people sitting in the corner of the Cafeteria not paying attention to anyone but themselves. Jessica tells her they are: Edward, Emmett and Alice Cullen, and Rosalie and Jasper Hale. I am now reading the well known book "Eragon" by Christopher Paolini. It is about a simple farm boy named Eragon who lives in Carvahall in a fantasy reigon/country called Algaesia, Which is ruled by a very powerful, evil king named Galbatorix. One day, when Eragon is hunting, he finds a mysterious blue egg that has a dragon in it. He names it Saphira. After two of the king's powerful minions, Eragon's house and burns it down, with one of his only family members left, his uncle, he sets off on a journey with the mysterious town storyteller, Brom, and his dragon, Saphira, to hunt down the Ra'zac. But during his journey, he learns more about magic and dragons, and learns that he can pick two paths: side with the king, or fight him for eternity with his dragon and the rebel alliance, the Varden, against the king. This book is filled with action, suspence, and is very comparable, in my opinion, to the "Harry Potter" series. The author, Christopher Paolini, was only 15 when he wrote this 730+ page book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes the "Harry Potter" series. I can't seem to put the book down!
Hi my name is LisaMarie Mariani. The book I am reading is called Pretty Little Devils.
Hazel is the new girl in school, and has some friends. There is a popular group and the leader is Sylvia. Hazel has a crush on this guy Matty. In the school cafeteria, everyone has certain tables they sit at. Sylvia and Breona, the cheerleader are not friends and got into a fight. Sylvia and her friends are in this group called PLD (pretty little devils). Hazel really wanted to be friends with the PLDs. La Toya, Hazel's friend thinks that the PLDs are like celebrities. Sylvia invited Hazel to her "PLD famous party." A girl named Trina, in Hazel's gym class said that Breona had drugs in school and was expelled. At the party, kids were drinking and smoking. Hazel drank, but not a lot, she knew the concequences.Hazel doesn't like her friends, Lakshmi and La Toya. She likes the PLDs.

I am Richie Marine and I am reading a book called "Twilight". This book is about a girl, named Bella, who moved to her fathers house in a small town called Forks. She is forced to live with her father for a while. Bella is used to living in Phoenix, which is very different then Forks. She must attend the school in this town. There is this boy in most of her classes named Edward. She has many mixed feeling about Edward. Edward is a strange boy. Bella is secretly in love with Edward. Bella was in the parking lot of her school, when a car fastly approached her as if it would hit her. Out of nowhere someone jumped in front of the car and pushed her out of the way. This person was Edward. But how?, I thought. Edward was far away from Bella at the time. How did he get there so fast? I don't quite know. I better keep reading.

My story is writen in third
omniscient. I think the author wrote this book like this so that he can get people more interested in the book. Also because it is easier to write in this "point of view" than to write in any other type of "point of view".
Hi, my name is Constantine and I am reading the book "until we meet again". I left off with a baby sitting job that has been confirmed by Darcy to whach out for her friend's baby. When she was on her way home, Darcy bumped into her two friends, Cooper and his girlfriend. They brought up the subject of Hakeem leaving bluford, and she was going crazy. They talked about how if Darcy should talk negitive, and how she will get what she really wants. That was a bad thing to say to Darcy, and get that thought in her head. But for some reason it worked and she siad, "thank you guys".
When Darcy arrived at home, it was time to move. Although they moved down the block, it made a big difference in sight seeing for her grandmother. The first thing that each and every family member had said in her family was "ohh my god". It was a big, and beautiful house that the grandmother was able to hear the birds tweep and the trees blow hard. I have an opertunity to keep on writing but i have top go. See you guys school.

I am reading Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer; it is a true story of Jon's experience climbing Mount Everest. His adventure starts off rocky when one of the Sherpas, people living in high elevation areas, walked over thin ice and fell through. He just barely survived. Luckily, his teammates, that were also Sherpas, were there to pull him out and get him to a doctor. But, this slowed down the journey for the rest of the expedition. They were forced to stay in this filthy, disgusting, smelly lodge for extra nights until they safely rescued the fallen Sherpa. Then, once they saved him, the team made their way up to Base Camp at 17500 feet. Everyone got up safely, luckily. But, Jon developed a bad cough and one of his friends, got ill but decided to press on, thanks to some help from Jon and Caroline, the team’s doctor. Once at Base Camp, Hall’s expedition met up with all the other expeditions. They saw some groups that they were worried about and they saw some groups that they would ask for help in a time of great need. But, times didn’t stay peaceful for long. That is because making their way up to Camp One, a serac (a giant sand filled “base” on the side of a mountain that holds the ropes firmly) fell, and luckily no one that we know of was injured or killed by this. And also, in another expedition, a Sherpa got H.A.P.E., which is altitude sickness. They had to immediately get him to a lower altitude to try and save his life. But, he was in denial. Sherpas are known to be able to withstand high altitude because they live at such high elevation areas. But, though they kept getting him lower and lower he remained sick and kept getting sicker. Once they got him off of the mountain it was too late. From there, I didn’t think it was possible but things still went “down hill.” So far this is a very good book. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an adventurous story. The bonus is it is about the famous Mount Everest.
Hey Mr. Haase it's Brennan S from your period 2 class. I had just finished reading the book "Slam" and it was awesome. The book ended with Slam winning the championship game and getting into a big fight with his best friend. His best friend was dealing drugs and Slam didn't like that so they got into a little bit of a fist fight. Now I just started a new book. It is called "Bad Boy" also by Walter Dean Myers. The book so far is about a boy who's mother dies from giving birth to her 7th child leaving the children for his dad to take of. He does not remember his mother because he was very young. He just knows this information form what he has been told.

The book I am reading is FALLEN ANGELS. The main characters are Perry, Peewee, Johnson, Jenkins and Lieutenant Carroll. Perry and Peewee become best friends and after a few weeks together on the base they start pulling guard duty and bunk together. They are sent to a new unit in Chu Lai, another city in Vietnam. Where after a few hours of travelling, they get settled in and go to sleep, not knowing what tomorrow will bring.....
until next time
